Medical Assistant II Allergy Tooele Part-Time
Overview
Owns clinic support for allergy care at scale, enabling efficient testing and immunotherapy delivery. Works with the Allergy & Asthma team to care for patients in a fast-paced environment. Collaborates with physicians and staff, contributing to daily operations and patient education. This role stands out through direct involvement in allergy testing and injections while maintaining high patient service standards.
What You'll Do7
- 1Build patient prep and exam readiness ensuring lab results, vitals, medications, and allergies are accurate
- 2Design and perform allergy testing and administer injections to support treatment plans
- 3Lead patient scheduling coordination and prior authorizations for medications and procedures
- 4Ship patient education and assist with medication refills to ensure continuity of care
- 5Own general clinic operations including documentation, records management, and supporting staff
- 6Drive patient communication and care planning for scheduling and follow-ups
- 7Support other duties as assigned by clinicians to keep the allergy clinic running smoothly
Requirements8
- 1High school diploma or GED required
- 2Medical Assistant certification preferred
- 31–2 years of medical office experience preferred
- 4Standing and walking for extended periods and lifting up to 50lbs
- 5Strong customer service and communication skills in English; bilingual skills are a plus
- 6Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and work collaboratively with physicians and staff
- 7Onsite, part-time schedule: Tuesday and Thursday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- 8Ability to obtain prior authorizations for medications and procedures
