Overview
The Medical Assistant I provides quality patient care in a team-based environment supporting Premier Community HealthCare Group providers. This role prepares patients for visits and ensures timely assistance while collaborating with office staff to deliver excellent experiences.
What You'll Do11
- 1Facilitate patient visits and ensure timely assistance maintaining high patient satisfaction
- 2Handle clerical duties including managing medical records authorizations and lab reports
- 3Collect and prepare laboratory specimens for testing
- 4Perform rooming and vital sign measurements
- 5Administer medications and manage storage systems
- 6Conduct procedural tasks such as EKG and vision screenings
- 7Follow PCHG policies and represent its mission through behavior and actions
- 8Mentor new team members when requested
- 9Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
- 10Contribute to community initiatives and advocate for the organization
- 11Drive quality improvement and quality assurance efforts
Requirements11
- 1High School Diploma or GED from Florida accredited Medical Assisting program
- 2Current Basic Life Support certification
- 3One year medical clinic experience preferred
- 4Epic certification and annual compliance training
- 5Annual Skills Competencies
- 6Ability to lift 20 lbs regularly and 30-50 lbs occasionally
- 7Ability to sit for extended periods
- 8Travel to health centers for coverage
- 9Direct computer screen use
- 10Exposure to contagious diseases
- 11Level 2 background screening through AHCA
