You will prepare patients and assist the physician with procedures in a high-volume dermatology practice in Buckhead, seeing 45-50 patients daily. What You'll Do7
- 1Prepare patients for exams by taking vitals and updating histories in Nextech
- 2Set up and assist the provider with medical procedures, including biopsies and surgeries
- 3Call patients with lab results and e-prescribe medications as directed
- 4Handle prior authorizations for prescriptions and procedures
- 5Stock exam rooms and maintain sterile instruments and wound care supplies
- 6Schedule follow-up appointments and complete general housekeeping duties
- 7Document patient visits accurately in Nextech under time pressure
Requirements7
- 11+ year of dermatology experience in a medical assistant role
- 22+ years of medical assistant experience in a clinical setting
- 3Proficiency with Nextech EMR system
- 4Knowledge of sterile technique and wound care
- 5Ability to handle high patient volume and fast pace
- 6Efficient typing skills for documentation
- 7Experience with biopsies, surgeries, and cosmetic procedures
