Overview
You will provide general medical care under the direction of a licensed provider in an outpatient clinic setting at American Family Care in Denver, Colorado. You will work with a team of healthcare professionals in a state-of-the-art center equipped with onsite lab and x-ray capability. What You'll Do10
- 1Obtain patient vitals, medical history, and reason for visit, and prepare patients for physical exams
- 2Explain prescribed procedures and treatments to patients
- 3Ensure ordered tests are performed accurately and timely
- 4Administer prescribed medications and treatments per approved procedures
- 5Draw blood and prepare labs for reference or in-house processing
- 6Perform lab tests, quality controls, and equipment maintenance
- 7Respond to lab messages and callback requests
- 8Perform drug screening procedures per regulations
- 9Document and administer immunizations per approved procedures
- 10Prepare exam rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain records
Requirements3
- 1Associates degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school
- 26 months to 1 year related experience or training, or equivalent combination
- 3AMT registered or AAMA Certified Medical Assistant preferred
