Mechanical Assembler Position at Ellicott Dredges
Overview
The Mechanical Assembler will own heavy equipment assembly tasks at our Baltimore facility. This full-time role offers competitive pay between $28.00 and $36.00 per hour. We seek candidates who can lead assembly operations while maintaining safety and quality standards.
What You'll Do11
- 1Secure and maintain all required components and supplies for operations
- 2Set up work areas according to specifications
- 3Assemble parts following precise methods and quality guidelines
- 4Operate hand tools as needed for completion
- 5Read tape measures and interpret blueprints accurately
- 6Ensure workspace safety cleanliness and equipment operational integrity
- 7Conduct daily equipment inspections and report issues
- 8Maintain organized work environment and verify material compliance
- 9Operate forklifts and follow established safety protocols
- 10Execute duties aligned with safety and quality standards
- 11Perform additional assignments as directed
Requirements11
- 1One year certificate from college or technical school plus 1-3 years relevant experience
- 2Ability to read and interpret safety rules and technical documentation
- 3Strong mathematical skills for calculations and ratio analysis
- 4Problem-solving capabilities with concrete variables
- 5Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with manufacturing software
- 6Physical stamina for standing talking walking climbing and lifting
- 7Clear verbal and written communication abilities
- 8Certifications such as CPC Card or BCBA preferred
- 9Experience with Python and AWS technologies
- 10Knowledge of Kubernetes deployment principles
- 11Valid driver's license for forklift operation
