What You'll Do8
- 1Perform preventative maintenance on all Herc fleet equipment, including oil changes, lubrication, and tire replacements.
- 2Diagnose and repair internal combustion engines, DC electrical systems, propane systems, hydraulics, and fuel systems.
- 3Conduct major repairs using diagnostic tools, hand tools, and measuring instruments with minimal supervision.
- 4Operate and test equipment like boom lifts, forklifts, and generators to meet Herc quality standards.
- 5Enter work orders and order parts through the fleet management system.
- 6Document all service work in detailed reports and repair logs.
- 7Mentor C Mechanics while taking direction from the shop lead.
- 8Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow all company safety protocols.
Requirements8
- 12+ years of experience in heavy equipment repair.
- 2Own a sufficient set of hand and air/electric tools for most repairs.
- 3Ability to lift up to 50 lbs safely.
- 4Ability to read technical schematics and owner manuals.
- 5Computer skills for entering data into systems.
- 6Valid driver's license to operate multiple types of vehicles and equipment.
- 7Strong written and verbal communication skills.
