Material Inspector II, Medical Device Manufacturing & SAP
Overview
Own incoming materials and product inspection at a Bedford MA medical device site, ensuring conformance to specifications at a defined scale. You will work with fixed and precision measuring instruments, read mechanical drawings, and document inspection results in SAP. The role blends hands on inspection with data entry and quality control processes. This position offers exposure to GD&T, FDA/GMP practices, and an ISO quality environment.
What You'll Do10
- 1Inspect incoming materials, components, and products for quality and conformance to specifications
- 2Use fixed, preset, and precision measuring instruments to perform inspections
- 3Read and understand mechanical drawings and blueprints
- 4Verify materials meet established quality, tolerance, and performance requirements
- 5Inspect incoming materials and chemicals and document results
- 6Enter inspection data and disposition materials in SAP
- 7Apply barcodes to incoming materials and use barcode scanners
- 8Maintain accurate inspection records and documentation
- 9Follow established procedures, work instructions, and quality standards
- 10Maintain a clean and organized warehouse and inspection area
Requirements10
- 1Previous mechanical inspection or quality inspection experience
- 2Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and blueprints
- 3Experience using measuring and inspection equipment
- 4Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures
- 5Ability to accurately document inspection results and material dispositions
- 6Willingness to develop knowledge of GD&T, FDA/GMP, and SOPs
- 7ASQ Certification preferred
- 8SAP experience preferred
- 9Experience with GD&T
- 10Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment
