Manufacturing Finance Systems Analyst, SQL Power BI & M3 Expertise
Overview
Own the design and delivery of finance reporting at scale within a manufacturing environment. You will partner with finance stakeholders to gather requirements, build and maintain SQL and Power BI reports, validate data, and ensure SOX compliance across a fully remote contract. You will work on an enterprise Data Warehouse with Infor M3 familiarity highly desirable and manage projects from requirements to delivery. This role emphasizes independent execution, clear documentation, and cross functional collaboration to drive timely insights.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and maintain financial and accounting reports using SQL and Power BI from enterprise data sources
- 2Design and optimize queries, stored procedures, and views to support reporting and data validation
- 3Test reports for accuracy and SOX compliant audit tracebacks to source systems
- 4Document testing evidence and create user guides and technical runbooks for developers
- 5Partner with stakeholders to capture requirements and translate them into actionable reporting solutions
- 6Create and manage Azure DevOps tasks to plan scope and track progress with clear acceptance criteria
- 7Provide ongoing support and enhancements for reports in production and address data issues
- 8Ensure data governance, security, and access control policies are followed across reports
- 9Mentor junior analysts on reporting standards and best practices
- 10Stay current on reporting tooling and data warehouse capabilities to drive improvements
Requirements10
- 1At least 10+ years of experience in report or business intelligence development and manufacturing accounting
- 2Strong proficiency in SQL with performance tuning and data modeling
- 3Advanced proficiency in Power BI including DAX and data modeling
- 4Experience with M3 (ERP) and/or RentalMan and enterprise Data Warehouse architectures
- 5SOX compliance knowledge and ability to document audit-ready processes
- 6Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, IS, CS, or related field or equivalent experience
- 7Excellent communication skills and ability to translate technical concepts for non technical audiences
- 8Experience creating technical and functional documentation for audit or compliance purposes
- 9Familiarity with ETL concepts and data governance policies
- 10Remote contract experience in a fast paced environment with multiple priorities
