Overview
The Manager Site Reliability Engineering leads end-to-end digital experiences for Disney's attractions and entertainment. This role drives observability and reliability across commerce systems and consumer products. You will mentor Cast Members while delivering financial oversight and technical strategy.
What You'll Do11
- 1Oversee finances and budgets in MyPPM and drive forecasting to align with organizational objectives
- 2Lead DevOps evolution by promoting a culture of observability and security practices
- 3Manage Site Reliability Engineers to build monitoring and observability solutions
- 4Design and support product platforms through pipeline automation and infrastructure engineering
- 5Drive telemetry creation and high-reliability systems using web technologies and source control
- 6Strategize cloud and on-premise systems administration expertise across Google AWS Azure and RHEL
- 7Foster cross-functional collaboration with Commerce and Consumer Products teams
- 8Engage in technology estimation and planning to recommend solutions aligned with project goals
- 9Track emerging technologies to inform strategic decisions and improve system reliability
- 10Maintain diverse Cast Member team with regular reviews and OKRs
- 11Advocate for diversity inclusion and foster belonging within the engineering culture
Requirements10
- 1Minimum 8 years of relevant professional experience
- 2Proven leadership in implementing observability across complex systems
- 3Extensive CI/CD tool proficiency including Gitlab AWS CodeBuild CodeDeploy CodePipeline and Azure DevOps
- 4Deep expertise in Terraform Cloud Formation Ansible and Chef for configuration management
- 5Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerized architectures
- 6Familiarity with AWS and GCP cloud platforms
- 7Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field with equivalent experience
- 8Strong communication and leadership abilities to motivate teams
- 9Commitment to diversity inclusion and fostering innovation
- 10Preferred experience with serverless architectures and cross-functional team management
