Manager Professional Billing Claims Epic
Overview
You lead Epic application teams for Professional Billing, Claims, and SBO across Community Care Cooperative and its subsidiary CTC. Reporting to the Senior Director of Applications, you own workflow design and system optimization for multiple implementations at scale. Your team supports hundreds of thousands of beneficiaries across FQHCs in Massachusetts. This role stands out for its direct partnership with Epic representatives and third-party vendors, plus the chance to shape revenue cycle strategy. You drive the full lifecycle of Epic modules, from build to go-live, and mentor a team to deliver high-quality healthcare technology solutions.
What You'll Do10
- 1Design and build Epic workflows for Professional Billing, Claims, and SBO, ensuring alignment with business needs.
- 2Test system changes and troubleshoot technical issues in Epic applications to maintain stability.
- 3Coordinate with Epic representatives and health center end users to meet project deliverables and timelines.
- 4Report project status and escalate risks to leadership, keeping stakeholders informed.
- 5Collaborate with CTC and C3 leadership to set direction for organization-wide workflows.
- 6Evaluate new technologies and recommend integration impacts on existing systems.
- 7Manage competing priorities, anticipating issues and fostering enthusiasm for HIT projects.
- 8Set clear expectations for team members at each project phase, coaching them on key success factors.
- 9Oversee third-party vendor contracts, including monitoring volumes for overage costs and annual renewals.
- 10Direct the implementation of new features and upgrades for third-party applications.
Requirements8
- 15+ years of Epic experience in professional billing, SBO, or claims applications.
- 2Epic certification in Professional Billing with Single Business Office (SBO).
- 3Understanding of the full revenue cycle from front-end to back-end billing.
- 4Knowledge of financial reporting and tracking revenue cycle metrics for Epic go-lives.
- 5Proven ability to manage multiple core organization projects simultaneously.
- 6Experience with at least two Epic implementations.
- 7Track record of EMR implementation and system optimization.
- 8Bachelor's degree required.
Salary Insight
$103 - $130k per year
