Manager Fuel Supply & Demand Planning
Overview
You will lead the fuel supply and demand planning team for Sunoco LP's Fuel Distribution segment, owning end-to-end planning for 15 billion gallons of fuel annually. Your team will turn commercial strategies and customer insights into actionable forecasts across a network of 400+ locations and 14,000 miles of pipeline and terminals. You will build forecasting software tools and drive data-driven decisions. This role stands out for its scale and impact on North America's fuel supply chain.
What You'll Do8
- 1Own the fuel demand forecasting process for 15B+ gallons across a complex distribution network in North America.
- 2Analyze demand and supply chain trends across 400+ locations, identify variance drivers, and implement corrective actions.
- 3Lead the team in a dynamic operational environment, fostering continuous improvement and a customer-focused culture.
- 4Strengthen demand planning, analytics, and business partnerships to deliver data-driven insights that guide strategy.
- 5Use internal and external systems to gather data, enhance data mining capabilities, and prepare visualizations.
- 6Generate actionable insights by applying advanced analytics to evaluate supply chain performance.
- 7Develop and own forecasting software tools, including DTN TABS, Fuel Admin, Salesforce, and Right Angle.
- 8Coach, mentor, and develop team members to achieve high performance and strengthen overall team effectiveness.
Requirements9
- 18+ years in fuel demand planning, supply chain, or related analytical roles.
- 2Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 3Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- 4Strong leadership and talent development skills, with the ability to attract, hire, and motivate team members.
- 5Commercial acumen and strategic thinking with deep understanding of supply chain and demand planning.
- 6Excellent communication and stakeholder influence skills.
- 7Proven ability to analyze performance metrics and translate insights into action.
- 8Resilience and results-driven attitude, handling tight deadlines.
- 9Preferred: knowledge of commercial operations including Trading, Supply, Scheduling, Transportation, and electronic BOL systems.
