Overview
You will own breast imaging procedures at a 327-bed hospital, performing screening and diagnostic mammograms, biopsies, and needle placements. Working under the Medical Director, you will operate Mammography equipment to produce diagnostic images for patients from adolescents to late adults. You will join a team of radiologic technologists in the Breast Center, part of an integrated healthcare system affiliated with UCSF Health. What You'll Do10
- 1Perform screening and diagnostic Mammography procedures, including biopsies and needle placements, following department protocols.
- 2Operate radiographic equipment to capture high-quality breast images for accurate diagnosis.
- 3Accurately present patient studies for interpretation, including clinical history and physician orders.
- 4Participate in daily processor quality control to ensure consistent imaging results.
- 5Communicate equipment issues to management promptly for service resolution.
- 6Apply universal precautions consistently in all patient contacts.
- 7Resolve problems using alternative methods as they arise.
- 8Interface with the Radiology Information System to accurately record procedural information.
- 9Interact professionally with co-workers and physicians to support patient care.
- 10Assist with clerical support functions as needed to efficiently process patient studies.
Requirements8
- 11 year clinical experience with Mammography experience preferred.
- 2Radiologic Technologist (CRT) certification required at hire.
- 3Integrative Agitation Management (IAMTAC) required within 30 days of hire.
- 4Radiology Mammography (RHM) certification preferred at hire.
- 5Proficiency in diagnostic studies for patients of all age groups, from infant to geriatric.
- 6Competence in all Mammography related studies and procedures.
- 7Ability to interact and communicate with all contacts in a professional, caring manner.
- 8Willingness to participate in quality improvement activities as needed.
Salary Insight
