You will own maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of pumps, motors, valves, and building systems for a reservoir serving the Lake Oswego community. Backed by a small, mission-driven team, you'll work independently across mechanical and structural upkeep, with $3.6M in annual operations. What You'll Do9

  • 1Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair pumps, motors, valves, and gates to keep reservoir operations running without unplanned downtime.
  • 2Perform preventive maintenance on mechanical equipment per schedule, extending asset life and preventing costly failures.
  • 3Maintain precise maintenance logs and equipment service records for all repairs and inspections.
  • 4Execute general building repairs including carpentry, basic electrical, and basic plumbing to keep structures safe and functional.
  • 5Identify and address minor structural issues early, preventing escalation into major repairs.
  • 6Respond to equipment and facility emergencies, including after-hours and weekend callouts, to restore operations quickly.
  • 7Keep the shop, tools, and equipment organized and safe, following all safety protocols and using required PPE.
  • 8Communicate equipment status and repair needs clearly to the General Manager, coordinating parts and supplies.
  • 9Supervise seasonal employees on maintenance tasks, ensuring quality and safety standards are met.

Requirements8

  • 15+ years of experience in mechanical, industrial, or building maintenance.
  • 2Working knowledge of pumps, motors, valves, and basic hydraulic and mechanical systems.
  • 3General building maintenance skills including basic carpentry, electrical, and plumbing.
  • 4Ability to troubleshoot independently and make sound repair-versus-replace decisions.
  • 5Ability to operate small motors, hand tools, and power tools safely.
  • 6Valid driver's license.
  • 7Availability for occasional after-hours or emergency callouts.
  • 8Ability to lift and carry 50-75 lbs, work outdoors in all weather, climb ladders, and perform physical labor for extended periods.
