As a Maintenance Technician at Greystar's SOMA property, you will own the repair and upkeep of a 160-unit mid-rise building, ensuring every home meets our standards for safety and functionality. What You'll Do9
- 1Diagnose the source of defects from resident requests and complete repairs in accordance with safety codes.
- 2Execute the make-ready process: inspect vacated units, create punch lists, schedule vendors, and finish tasks for new move-ins.
- 3Track inventory and reorder supplies by logging usage and returning unused items to the maintenance area.
- 4Document service requests accurately to ensure proper tracking and follow-up.
- 5Maintain grounds and amenities by pressure-washing breezeways, cleaning pool areas, and painting curbs.
- 6Control costs by repairing parts instead of replacing them and using tools correctly.
- 7Attend safety meetings and complete OSHA training to comply with risk management policies.
- 8Inspect contractor work to verify quality meets service standards.
- 9Conduct routine property inspections to identify safety concerns and communicate repair needs to management.
Requirements8
- 11-2 Years of experience as a Maintenance or Service Technician in multifamily housing or property management.
- 2EPA certifications Type I, II, or Universal for refrigerant recycling (for Certified Service Technicians).
- 3All certifications required by State and Local jurisdictions for Service Technicians.
- 4Valid driver's license to operate a golf cart on property, if applicable.
- 5Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods, and to bend, stoop, climb ladders, reach, carry objects, and crawl in confined areas.
- 6Ability to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions (rain, snow, heat, hail, wind, sleet).
- 7Ability to lift or maneuver weights up to 25 pounds independently and 50 pounds with assistance.
- 8Flexible work schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays for on-call rotation.
