Maintenance Technician for Wedding Venues
Overview
You will own the maintenance of multiple wedding venues across Sacramento, keeping them safe, functional, and guest-ready. Supporting over 90 locations nationwide, Wedgewood Weddings offers a fast-paced environment with a varied workday. Working independently, you'll travel between venues, partner with on-site teams, and resolve issues across plumbing, electrical, and carpentry. This role stands out with a vehicle allowance and tool stipend for a self-driven technician.
What You'll Do9
- 1Perform preventative maintenance and repairs across multiple venue locations, ensuring each property remains guest-ready.
- 2Conduct routine inspections of buildings, equipment, and grounds to identify and document maintenance needs.
- 3Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, drywall, flooring, painting, carpentry, irrigation, and other building systems.
- 4Install, repair, and maintain fixtures, furniture, appliances, and equipment to keep venues operational.
- 5Respond to maintenance requests from venue leadership within the same day, prioritizing urgent issues.
- 6Coordinate with outside vendors for specialized repairs, managing schedules and quality benchmarks.
- 7Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to guide repair work.
- 8Maintain accurate records of completed work, service requests, and expenses using company technology.
- 9Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with company standards, keeping venues safe for staff and guests.
Requirements10
- 15+ years in facilities maintenance, commercial building maintenance, or construction.
- 2Experience in at least two skilled trades: electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or carpentry.
- 3Strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose issues and determine effective repair solutions.
- 4Valid driver's license with reliable transportation and ability to travel between venues.
- 5Proficiency using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- 6Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly, and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- 7Comfort working at heights, climbing ladders, and moving in varied positions.
- 8Strong communication and organization skills to manage multiple priorities.
- 9Trade certifications (e.g., CPC Card) preferred but not required.
- 10Basic hand tools provided by candidate; travel throughout Sacramento region required.
