Maintenance Technician at Aerotek Detroit
Overview
We seek a skilled Maintenance Technician to lead electrical and mechanical upkeep at a refrigerated food and beverage production facility. The ideal candidate will own troubleshooting processes, collaborate with remote controls engineers, and ensure minimal downtime through proactive maintenance. What You'll Do8
- 1Perform advanced electrical troubleshooting on production equipment including low-voltage systems (110V/24V), sensors, proximity switches, and three-phase motors
- 2Use a voltmeter to safely test diagnose and verify electrical circuits and components identifying root causes of equipment issues
- 3Connect a laptop to PLCs to perform basic troubleshooting and locate faulty sensors using Siemens Rockwell or comparable systems
- 4Serve as first point of on-site issue identification before involving remote controls engineers communicate findings and support further diagnostics
- 5Conduct mechanical troubleshooting and repair on conveyors including motors valves and hoses
- 6Maintain and repair industrial equipment such as filling machines and mixers operating on pneumatics and hydraulics including valves and hoses
- 7Perform preventive maintenance tasks on machines and equipment to reduce unplanned downtime and extend asset life
- 8Interpret and work from electrical schematics blueprints and mechanical diagrams to support accurate repairs and installations
Requirements5
- 15+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
- 23-5 seasons of experience in industrial electrical and mechanical maintenance
- 32nd shift availability Monday Friday with potential weekend coverage
- 4PPE requirements include lab coat hair net beard net and appropriate clothing for cold environments
- 5AWS Certified or equivalent cloud certification preferred
