What You'll Do8

- 3Troubleshoot and fix electrical issues, such as faulty wiring, outlets, and lighting, throughout the facility.
- 4Perform light carpentry tasks, including framing, drywall, and door repairs, to maintain building integrity.
- 5Respond to service and emergency calls for any maintenance repair, electrical, or plumbing problem within 24 hours.
- 6Maintain locks, keys, and door-related apparatus, ensuring security and access control.
- 7Apply DOH, Joint Commission, and ICRA requirements to all maintenance work, documenting compliance.
- 8Collaborate with clinical staff to minimize disruption during repairs in patient care areas.
Requirements6
- 1High school diploma or GED, or one to three months of related experience or training.
- 2Basic working knowledge of a wide range of mechanical equipment, including pumps, motors, and HVAC systems.
- 3Prior mechanical experience including burning and welding.
- 4Certification in Proper Refrigeration Practices Type I and Type II.
- 5Preferred: Stationary Engineering training, plus training in plumbing, HVAC, or electrical.
- 6Preferred: Prior healthcare experience in a hospital or clinical setting.
