Overview
You will own the installation, customization, and maintenance of z/OS operating systems in a hybrid Phoenix environment. You will ensure stability and performance for IBM mainframe systems supporting large-scale enterprise apps. Your team handles CICS, DB2, and IMS environments. What You'll Do8
- 1Install and customize z/OS and system software on IBM mainframes.
- 2Maintain and patch z/OS to ensure security and availability.
- 3Monitor system performance, tuning z/OS and JES2.
- 4Debug and resolve z/OS issues with IPL and SMP/E.
- 5Support CICS, DB2, and IMS subsystems.
- 6Automate system tasks using REXX and CLIST.
- 7Manage storage and RACF security definitions.
- 8Collaborate with application teams on z/OS upgrades.
Requirements8
- 15+ years as a z/OS system programmer.
- 2Experience with SMP/E and system assembly.
- 3Knowledge of RACF and security administration.
- 4Proficiency in REXX or CLIST scripting.
- 5Hands-on with JES2 and JES3.
- 6Experience with CICS and DB2.
- 7Bachelor's degree in computer science or related.
- 8Strong debugging skills with IPL and dumps.
