IT Project Manager, Mainframe DB2 & DBA
Overview
You will own the database administration and mainframe application support for DB2 on z/OS, serving critical business processes. You will lead a team of developers while managing batch and online transaction systems. You will work with CICS, VSAM, and COBOL across the full software development lifecycle. This role combines hands-on technical work with project leadership in a mission-critical environment.
What You'll Do6
- 1Design and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL to support core business operations.
- 2Write and optimize JCL jobs for batch processing and scheduling to ensure reliable execution.
- 3Manage DB2 databases including storage, retrieval, query optimization, and performance tuning.
- 4Develop and support CICS online programs for real-time transaction processing.
- 5Handle VSAM files for data storage, access, and file management operations.
- 6Analyze business requirements and deliver techno-functional solutions with the team.
Requirements6
- 15+ years of experience in mainframe development with COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, and VSAM.
- 25+ years of hands-on DB2 database administration including performance tuning and query optimization.
- 3Strong proficiency in JCL for batch job control and scheduling.
- 4Experience with CICS programming for online transaction processing.
- 5Proven ability to analyze business requirements and translate into technical solutions.
- 6Project management experience in an IT environment is a plus.
