What You'll Do8
- 1Debug and resolve CICS region failures, applying fixes to restore service within 90 days.
- 2Tune CICS performance by analyzing system logs and adjusting parameters to reduce abends.
- 3Manage CICS transactions and programs, ensuring smooth operation across production regions.
- 4Implement CICS security policies using RACF to protect sensitive data and resources.
- 5Automate routine CICS tasks with REXX and Clist to cut manual effort.
- 6Support CICS modernization projects, migrating legacy transactions to new architectures.
- 7Coordinate with application teams to test and deploy CICS changes during maintenance windows.
- 8Document CICS configurations and procedures, building a knowledge base for the team.
Requirements7
- 15+ years administering CICS in z/OS environments.
- 23+ years working with CICS transaction server and CICSplex.
- 3Proficiency with CICS system definitions, JCL, and VSAM files.
- 4Experience with CICS performance tuning and problem determination tools.
- 5Knowledge of RACF security and CICS resource definitions.
- 6Ability to script with REXX or CLIST for automation.
- 7Onsite presence 3 days per week in Phoenix, AZ.
