The full-time Machine Tool Technology Instructor supports the Program Director in curriculum development and teaches courses such as cutting shaping forming and fabrication. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape skilled trades professionals.
What You'll Do11
- 1Teach theory and hands-on labs for metal fabrication using machine tools
- 2Lead lean manufacturing quality control CNC programming hydraulics pneumatics classes
- 3Prepare students for careers in machining through experiential learning
- 4Supervise work assignments and assist with classroom assignments
- 5Monitor and record student performance using standard evaluation tools
- 6Create engaging learning environments that meet individual skill levels
- 7Serve as a role model embodying school values
- 8Comply with academic policies and maintain student discipline
- 9Manage course information and student records in LMS systems
- 10Coordinate logistics for field trips internships community service presentations
- 11Update and manage student performance data
Requirements5
- 1Minimum three years of machining trade experience with comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing processes
- 2Proficiency in lean manufacturing quality control CNC programming hydraulics pneumatics
- 3Teaching experience at secondary or post-secondary level preferred
- 4OSHA 30 certification required
- 5Strong command of machining theory and contemporary best practices
