You will own the lunch program at a daycare voted Most Loved Preschool in NJ, serving 50+ children daily. Plan menus, prepare meals, and keep the kitchen spotless while stepping into classrooms to support teachers. What You'll Do8
- 1Plan weekly menus that meet child nutrition guidelines and handle dietary restrictions.
- 2Cook and serve lunches, checking portion sizes and food safety standards.
- 3Wash dishes, organize food storage, and keep the kitchen spotless.
- 4Track food inventory and order supplies before you run out.
- 5Sanitize toys and surfaces to keep the daycare safe.
- 6Support teachers in classrooms during activities and outdoor play.
- 7Fill in across different age groups as needed, from toddlers to pre-K.
- 8Help with nap time and diaper changes when the team needs an extra hand.
Requirements7
- 11+ year experience in food prep or meal planning, ideally in childcare.
- 2Basic knowledge of child nutrition and dietary needs.
- 3Strong organization and multitasking skills.
- 4Ability to work solo and as part of a team.
- 5Experience with young children, a plus.
- 6Food Handler's Certification or willingness to get it upon hire.
- 7High school diploma or equivalent.
