LPN Pediatric Travel Nurse, NYC & Pediatric Care
Overview
LPN in pediatrics to provide hands-on care in a clinical setting with a 14-week contract. The role collaborates with a healthcare team to support patient care, infection control, and documentation. Workdays are Mon-Fri with daytime hours and 100% onsite in Flushing, NY. This position offers pediatric exposure and the chance to contribute to performance improvement and safe clinical practices.
What You'll Do9
- 1Build patient care plans in accordance with pediatric clinical standards.
- 2Assist with pediatric patient care activities and support the multidisciplinary team.
- 3Apply infection control principles to maintain a safe clinical environment.
- 4Follow performance improvement practices to enhance care quality.
- 5Apply appropriate delegation when delivering patient care.
- 6Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
- 7Communicate effectively with pediatric patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- 8Follow facility policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- 9Assist with other nursing duties as assigned.
Requirements10
- 1High School Diploma or GED required
- 2Graduate of an accredited LPN program required
- 3Current New York State LPN license and registration
- 4Current AHA BLS Certification
- 5Pediatric nursing experience preferred
- 6LPN training experience preferred
- 7Knowledge of infection control principles required
- 8Knowledge of performance improvement principles required
- 9Understanding of delegation principles
- 10Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain patient records
