What You'll Do9
- 1Load and secure equipment with chains and binders for safe transit
- 2Drive lowboy, flatbed, and water tanker trucks across regional job sites
- 3Complete pre-trip and post-trip DVIR inspections, checking fluid levels and brakes
- 4Calculate load weights to stay within DOT permitting limits
- 5Communicate with dispatch and crews to coordinate nightly moves
- 6Handle oversize and overweight loads, managing permits as needed
- 7Operate standard transmission and airbrake systems
- 8Report vehicle issues to supervisors for repair
- 9Follow FMCSA cargo securement and hours-of-service rules
Requirements10
- 1Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record
- 22+ years driving commercial trucks, preferably lowboy or flatbed
- 3Experience loading, unloading, and securing heavy equipment
- 4Knowledge of DOT regulations, load securement, and oversize hauling
- 5Ability to obtain oversize load permits or willingness to learn
- 6Skill with chains, binders, and tie-down procedures
- 7Basic mechanical knowledge for inspections
- 8Comfort working nights (3pm-3am) and occasional weekends
- 9Good communication and coordination with dispatch and crews
- 10Physical ability to lift up to 100 pounds and work in all weather
