Truck Driver - Heavy Equipment Transport
Overview
You will transport heavy equipment across Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Maryland, loading and unloading at customer sites. You report to Dispatchers and Transportation Coordinators, coordinating routes and schedules. You work in an industrial environment, including exposure to weather and overtime. What You'll Do7
- 1Transport heavy equipment across Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Maryland using CDL Class A vehicles.
- 2Load and unload equipment safely, securing loads per DOT regulations.
- 3Coordinate with dispatchers to prioritize deliveries and meet deadlines.
- 4Inspect equipment and vehicles daily, reporting any defects to maintenance.
- 5Navigate routes and adjust for traffic or weather conditions to ensure on-time arrival.
- 6Maintain logs and documentation as required by DOT and company policy.
- 7Work overtime as needed to meet delivery schedules.
Requirements7
- 1Valid CDL Class A driver's license.
- 223 years old minimum.
- 3Experience hauling and operating heavy equipment.
- 4Familiarity with DOT regulations and truck operations.
- 5Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- 6Good motor coordination and physical stamina for lifting, pulling, and climbing.
- 7Verbal and numerical intelligence for navigation and documentation.
