Loss Prevention Detective, Retail Security & Shrink Reduction
Overview
As a Loss Prevention Detective at HomeGoods, you'll own store shrink reduction and theft prevention at a high-volume retail location. You'll work alongside store management to maintain safety programs and uphold TJX policies. Your role combines surveillance, apprehension, and investigation with a focus on integrity. What You'll Do9
- 1Complete daily loss prevention tasks and safety programs, partnering with store management.
- 2Conduct apprehensions within TJX policies and guidelines, focusing on external theft.
- 3Identify and resolve internal and external theft through surveillance and investigation.
- 4Engage with store associates on damage and shrink initiatives, promoting awareness.
- 5Observe, apprehend, and deter acts of dishonesty, ensuring consistency with store theft activity.
- 6Participate in investigations and surveillance, maintaining evidence and documentation.
- 7Coordinate shrink-related activities with store management to meet reduction goals.
- 8Maintain confidentiality and promote a culture of honesty and integrity.
- 9Support safety awareness and maintain a safe environment for associates and customers.
Requirements7
- 10-2 years of retail or security experience.
- 2Excellent communication skills and sound judgment.
- 3Basic computer skills for reporting and documentation.
- 4Investigative and analytical skills to identify theft patterns.
- 5Ability to respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations.
- 6Work effectively as a standout colleague with peers and supervisors.
