What You'll Do8
- 1Drive a CDL-A truck on local and regional routes, ensuring on-time delivery to military bases and grocery distribution centers.
- 2Operate day cabs and sleepers (slip seating) safely, adhering to all DOT regulations and maintaining a clean driving record.
- 3Handle preloaded, outbound loads with minimal freight handling; secure cargo as needed to prevent damage.
- 4Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections, reporting any mechanical issues to dispatch.
- 5Manage daily routes to meet the $225 minimum pay, often returning home nightly with occasional layovers.
- 6Communicate with dispatch on delivery status, delays, and route changes using in-cab technology.
- 7Maintain compliance with Federally mandated drug and alcohol testing, including Clearinghouse checks.
- 8Ensure access to military installations by maintaining required security clearances and documentation.
Requirements7
- 1Valid CDL-A with 12+ months verifiable truck driving experience.
- 2Clean driving record with no major violations in the past 3 years.
- 3Pass DOT pre-employment drug test and Clearinghouse check with no violations in the last 3 years.
- 4Ability to gain access to military bases and installations.
- 5Willingness to work a mix of day and night shifts, with occasional layovers.
- 6Experience with dry van freight and slip seating preferred.
- 7Must be at least 21 years old (standard CDL requirement).
