What You'll Do8
- 1Run preloaded outbound loads on a local route, completing 5-7 stops per shift with 90% no-touch freight.
- 2Drive a Day Cab or Sleeper under slip seating, covering 100-250 miles daily with home time nearly every night.
- 3Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on tractor-trailer equipment, reporting defects via ELD.
- 4Secure cargo with straps and chains, ensuring dry van loads meet military base security protocols.
- 5Communicate with dispatch via Qualcomm to update arrival times and reroute around delays.
- 6Manage paperwork for military installations, including gate access passes and delivery receipts.
- 7Use detention pay and stop pay tracking to log extra time at each stop.
- 8Support warehouse teams during loading and unloading, using pallet jacks for touch freight when needed.
Requirements6
- 1Valid CDL-A with 12+ months of verifiable tractor-trailer experience.
- 2Clean driving record: no major violations in the last 3 years per CDLIS.
- 3Pass DOT Pre-Employment Drug Test and Clearinghouse check with no drug/alcohol violations in 3 years.
- 4Ability to obtain access to military bases and installations.
- 5Willingness to work flexible shifts, including overnight layovers at least once per week.
- 6Basic math skills for calculating CPM pay and stop counts.
