Loader/Cart Associate - Retail Operations
Overview
As a Loader/Cart Associate at Lowe's in Seattle, you will own the customer loading and cart retrieval process during every shift. You'll greet customers, assist with heavy or bulky merchandise, and ensure safe, accurate loading for both individual shoppers and large Pro orders. You'll work alongside a close-knit store team, reporting to the department supervisor, with daily coordination across the Pro Desk, Garden Center, and front-end checkout. What You'll Do9
- 1Provide SMART customer service by greeting shoppers, locating merchandise, and loading purchases into their vehicles with care.
- 2Pull, stage, and prepare customer and contractor orders accurately, using Zebra phones and store systems to track fulfillment.
- 3Operate power equipment like compacter balers and panel saws safely, following Lowe's safety protocols and completing required training.
- 4Maintain in-stock conditions by down stocking and replenishing shelves with products from the back room.
- 5Collect carts from the parking lot and keep both sales floor and loading areas clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.
- 6Act as a visible Pro Desk extension, engaging Pro customers, supporting large order staging, and promoting Pro Rewards enrollment.
- 7Handle Garden Center loading duties, including staging bulky items and loading vehicles with proper techniques.
- 8Identify and report safety hazards, theft, or security issues to management or Asset Protection immediately.
- 9Assist with checkout and fulfillment tasks, including bagging, carrying purchases, and directing customers to exits.
Requirements8
- 16+ months experience using a computer for inputting, accessing, or modifying information.
- 26+ months experience with common retail technology such as smart phones and tablets.
- 3Ability to obtain sales-related licensure or registration as required by law.
- 4Preferred: high school diploma or GED.
- 5Preferred: 6+ months retail experience, including customer service or stocking.
- 6Preferred: 6+ months experience as a loader at a home improvement retailer.
- 7Preferred: 6+ months retail merchandising experience, including zone recovery, stocking, and facing product.
- 8Preferred: 6+ months experience inspecting, carrying, loading, and unloading product in or out of vehicles.
