Owns and maintains litigation support for labor and employment matters at a Los Angeles law firm with a focus on complex state and federal procedures. What You'll Do10
- 1Build and file pleadings with State and Federal courts to ensure timely submission and compliance
- 2Schedule depositions and manage attorney calendars to optimize case timelines
- 3Draft correspondence and perform document editing with attention to accuracy and format
- 4Maintain case files and perform research to support litigation strategy
- 5Prepare expense reports and manage matter budgets to support financial controls
- 6Collaborate with team to coordinate discovery and ensure procedural adherence
- 7Support remote and in‑office workflow with strong MS Office and case management proficiency
- 8Maintain compliance with State and Federal court rules and deadlines
- 9Assist with trial preparation and document management to support attorney readiness
- 10Contribute to process improvements that enhance case throughput and accuracy
Requirements10
- 1Minimum of 3-10 years of experience as a Legal Assistant or in a similar litigation support role
- 2Strong understanding of State and Federal court rules and procedures
- 3Excellent computer skills with Excel and MS Office including Outlook
- 4Experience with Adobe Acrobat or Juris Suite is a plus
- 5Excellent oral and written communication skills
- 6Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities
- 7Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- 8Full-time schedule with potential overtime and hybrid work after 90 days
- 9Bachelor’s degree or equivalent legal support experience preferred
