You will own breakfast, lunch, and dinner a la carte stations at The Ridge Hotel, a Pyramid Global Hospitality property in Basking Ridge, NJ, serving up to 200 guests per shift. You will collaborate with the Executive Chef and Sous Chef to execute standard recipes and plating guidelines. This part-time role offers direct mentorship from experienced leaders and exposure to a portfolio of 200+ properties. What You'll Do6

  • 1Set up a la carte stations for breakfast, lunch, or dinner service, ensuring all mise en place is prepped and organized.
  • 2Prepare and plate dishes per standard recipes and plating guidelines, maintaining consistency and quality.
  • 3Execute banquet and kitchen line duties as directed by the Executive Chef or Sous Chef, adapting to service flow.
  • 4Report maintenance and housekeeping issues immediately and follow through to resolution.
  • 5Apply modern cooking techniques and trends to elevate food quality and guest experience.
  • 6Recommend operational improvements and menu enhancements to the culinary team.

Requirements5

  • 11-2 years previous line cook experience in a restaurant or hotel kitchen.
  • 2Able to work independently with minimal supervision during service.
  • 3Stand for long periods on your feet in a fast-paced environment.
  • 4Lift at least 20 pounds regularly.
  • 5Flexible availability for part-time shifts, including mornings, weekends, and holidays.
