Lead Teacher at Primrose School of Spring Cypress will own the daily classroom program for infants to preschoolers, guiding development at scale and aligning with Primrose Balanced Learning standards. What You'll Do9
- 1Lead the daily supervision, class functions, and safety of a group of children.
- 2Implement approved lesson plans and the Primrose Balanced Learning curriculum.
- 3Plan with Leadership Team for parent-teacher conferences and student evaluations.
- 4Maintain an attractive and organized classroom that encourages exploration and decision making.
- 5Provide verbal recognition and clear behavioral expectations to children.
- 6Handle maintenance and housekeeping duties in classrooms, common areas, and playgrounds.
- 7Attend required staff meetings, workshops, and school events.
- 8Uphold professional appearance and adhere to employee guidelines.
- 9Support the Director or designee with additional duties as needed.
Requirements8
- 1Must meet basic requirements of local child care regulatory agency
- 2Previous teaching or assistant teaching position in a licensed early childhood program preferred
- 3Knowledge of the social, emotional and creative needs of young children
- 4Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs in relation to child handling and safety
- 5For Infant and Young Toddler teachers, must be able to lift infants into and out of a crib
- 6Infant Preschool Teachers: 2 year degree in early childhood or related field preferred
- 7Pre-Kindergarten Teachers: 4 year degree in early childhood or related field required
- 8Kindergarten Teacher: 4 year degree in early childhood and state teaching certification required
