Lead Security Engineer at Neurophos
Overview
We seek a Security Lead to design and defend core cloud network systems against threats. You will own architectural integrity, implement zero-trust boundaries, manage vulnerabilities, and lead incident response. This role balances technical execution with strategic governance to protect high-value compute environments and proprietary assets.
What You'll Do11
- 1Deploy zero-trust network access and secure cloud perimeters across hybrid environments
- 2Implement identity and access management with fine-grained RBAC and MFA
- 3Design and execute vulnerability management processes with continuous asset scanning
- 4Build incident response runbooks and serve as primary commander during security events
- 5Establish SIEM/EDR tooling for real-time detection of unauthorized access attempts
- 6Support technical defense discussions and conduct vendor risk assessments
- 7Own security compliance library and enforce policies for data classification and network segmentation
- 8Collaborate with legal to establish secure data handling and export control safeguards
- 9Guide incident response, threat hunting, and containment in production and cloud environments
- 10Manage external vendor relationships until dedicated IT leadership is hired
- 11Articulate complex security concepts to executives, engineering teams, and auditors
Requirements5
- 18+ years combined experience in infrastructure security or cybersecurity management
- 23+ years leading security programs at hardware semiconductor or high-growth tech firms
- 3Deep hands-on expertise in cloud security network defense IAM infrastructure and endpoint protection
- 4Proven experience leading incident response runbooks and threat hunting operations
- 5Ability to explain security concepts to executive leadership and audit teams
