Lead Machinist Aerospace Defense

We seek an experienced CNC Machinist to lead high-precision component production for aerospace and defense. The ideal candidate will own complex multi-axis equipment and deliver results in a climate-controlled facility. This contract-to-hire role offers competitive pay and full benefits.

You will operate CNC milling machines to produce precision components for aerospace and defense programs. You will run multi-axis vertical and horizontal machining centers, read engineering drawings, and inspect parts with precision tools. You'll set up and run precision 3-axis and 4-axis CNC mills and lathes in a high-mix, low-volume aerospace and defense machine shop in Gilbert, AZ. You'll produce complex components for customers in aerospace and defense, working in a clean, air-conditioned facility with modern equipment. The shop offers optional overtime (10+ hours weekly) and training on 5-axis machining for machinists with strong fundamentals. You will set up and operate CNC mills or lathes in a high-precision aerospace environment, holding tight tolerances on critical components. Your work directly supports production for leading aerospace clients, with a focus on quality and throughput. You'll work within a skilled team of machinists and programmers, using Haas, DMG Mori, Okuma, and similar equipment. This role offers long-term stability with a growth-oriented manufacturer, plus a shift differential for 2nd shift. The job stands out because you'll take ownership of your machine and process, from setup to in-process inspection.

You'll operate CNC lathe and mill machines to produce precision aerospace components for TSI, an AS9100 certified fabricator. Your work supports parts for space, commercial, and military applications, including fighter jets and the SM-3 missile system.
