
Lead Hardware Engineer, Data Transmission & FPGA - Phoenix Hybrid
Overview
Lead hardware engineer owning end to end hardware design for data transmission and controller systems in a hybrid Phoenix environment. You will work with mechanical, FPGA, and lab testing teams to coordinate validation and triage legacy TCAS domain issues. This role requires US person status and a background in CNS or related avionics domains.
What You'll Do5
- 1Build and integrate hardware subsystems for data transmission in the TCAS/CNS domain with FPGA components
- 2Design and coordinate lab testing plans to validate performance and reliability for the hardware stack
- 3Lead triage of legacy TCAS domain issues, escalate gaps, and recommend mitigations
- 4Collaborate with mechanical and software teams to ensure seamless hardware-software interfacing
- 5Drive hardware qualification activities and document validation results for regulatory and internal standards
Requirements9
- 110-15 years hardware experience in data transmission or avionics domains
- 2Experience with FPGA design and lab testing coordination
- 3Strong understanding of legacy TCAS domain and CNS requirements
- 4US Person status (dual citizen acceptable)
- 5Ability to work in a hybrid model in Phoenix, AZ
- 6Mechanical integration experience preferred
- 7Experience coordinating testing in a lab environment
- 8Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 9Knowledge of hardware testing protocols and qualification methods
