Lead Fund Controller Private Funds
Overview
We seek a results-driven Lead Fund Controller to lead semi-liquid private investment operations for Wellington's Private Investment platform. You will own end-to-end fund processes supporting a new growth segment while collaborating across teams to drive performance and accuracy.
What You'll Do11
- 1Oversee monthly NAV creation and validate complex private and public transaction entries
- 2Manage fee calculations including high-water marks and incentive structures
- 3Ensure precise investor record accuracy and capital balance tracking
- 4Coordinate third-party administrators for seamless processing
- 5Drive design improvements for semi-liquid fund operations
- 6Develop and enhance accounting policies and internal controls
- 7Supervise NAV, flow, and capital management workflows
- 8Partner with Treasury and Product teams on liquidity forecasting
- 9Collaborate with Investor Relations on investor communications
- 10Prepare financial statements and regulatory filings
- 11Work with legal and tax teams on vehicle structuring
Requirements11
- 1BS or higher in Accounting or Finance with CPA license preferred
- 27+ years private fund experience including fund administration
- 3Strong expertise in investment company accounting for public and private investments
- 4Proficiency with open-ended fund structures and multi-share classes
- 5Expert knowledge of US GAAP and alternative frameworks like Lux GAAP
- 6Experience managing third-party administrators and complex transactions
- 7Advanced Excel skills with data visualization capabilities
- 8Ability to operate in fast-paced environments with ownership mindset
- 9Self-motivated with collaborative team dynamics
- 10Excellent problem-solving abilities for structural challenges

Salary Insight
$90 - $180k per year
