Overview
You will lead the fleet maintenance team at Coke Florida's Hollywood location, owning technical escalation, shop coordination, and team development. Working 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM, you will inspect, diagnose, and repair Light, Medium, and Heavy Duty trucks, hydraulic systems, and PIT equipment. You will train Apprentice and Fleet Technicians, conducting hands-on coaching and skill assessments. What You'll Do8
- 1Escalate and resolve complex fleet diagnostics, validating repair plans for Light, Medium, and Heavy Duty trucks.
- 2Train and mentor Apprentice and Fleet Technicians through hands-on coaching and skill assessments.
- 3Coordinate daily shop activities, monitor repair backlog, and adjust schedules to meet service levels.
- 4Conduct repair audits and ensure DOT compliance across all maintenance workflows.
- 5Support repairs on hydraulic systems, PIT equipment, and electric vehicles, maintaining high-quality standards.
- 6Drive workforce development by identifying skill gaps and implementing targeted training.
- 7Lead conflict resolution within the team, fostering a positive and collaborative shop environment.
- 8Use web-based fleet tools and MS Office 365 to track metrics and present status updates to management.
Requirements10
- 18+ years of fleet maintenance experience, including advanced diagnostics.
- 2Demonstrated expertise in multi-system troubleshooting: electrical, powertrain, hydraulics.
- 3Proven experience as a team leader, supporting teammates and resolving conflicts independently.
- 4Strong understanding of DOT regulations and compliance requirements.
- 5Experience managing work queues, schedules, and service levels in a distribution/logistics environment.
- 6Intermediate knowledge of web-based fleet tools and MS Office 365.
- 7Must have a driving record with no major moving violations in the last three years.
- 8ASE certification(s) preferred, including ASE Medium/Heavy Truck or ASE Master Technician.
- 9CDL Class A or CDL certification highly preferred.
- 1010+ years of technical experience preferred, plus exposure to fleet analytics and reliability tracking.
