MISUMI Americas, a division of MISUMI Group, seeks a Lead Cloud DevOps Engineer based in Oakland, CA. This builder's role involves owning AWS infrastructure using CloudFormation and Node.js to design, build, and maintain scalable systems. The ideal candidate will lead infrastructure projects from planning to execution while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure reliability, security, and cost-efficiency.
What You'll Do11
- 1Design and maintain AWS infrastructure using CloudFormation as the primary IaC tool
- 2Own and evolve AWS environments for high availability scalability and security
- 3Lead infrastructure projects from planning through execution mentoring a small team
- 4Build and maintain Node.js tools for automation deployment workflows and monitoring
- 5Design and implement CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and application deployments
- 6Set up logging monitoring and alerting across AWS environments
- 7Perform infrastructure upgrades while minimizing downtime
- 8Troubleshoot complex production issues across systems
- 9Drive performance reliability security and cloud cost efficiency initiatives
- 10Collaborate with engineering security and operations teams
- 11Maintain documentation and uphold the Quality Management System

- 1Location: Oakland CA or greater Bay Area with onsite requirement
- 2U.S. citizen or permanent resident Green Card holder
- 310+ years in DevOps Cloud Infrastructure Systems Engineering
- 45+ years hands-on Node.js production experience
- 5Expert AWS expertise across EC2 Lambda IAM VPC S3 CloudWatch RDS CodeBuild Elastic Beanstalk
- 6Extensive CloudFormation experience managing stacks across environments
- 7Strong CI/CD pipeline design and implementation skills
- 8Proven debugging capabilities in production systems
- 9Database performance tuning and optimization knowledge
- 10AWS security best practices including IAM networking encryption and least-privilege access
- 11Solid Linux systems experience
