Lathe Machinist Aerotek Phoenix
Overview
We seek a skilled Lathe Machinist to set up CNC Lathe and/or CNC Mill machines with minimal supervision. This role involves establishing machine origins inspecting parts optimizing production maintaining safety standards and collaborating with engineering teams.
What You'll Do11
- 1Set up tooling and fixtures using engineering drawings
- 2Establish machine origins to fixture and machine first part to blueprint requirements
- 3Inspect and verify parts for accuracy
- 4Run production parts after setup and establish production standards
- 5Optimize production for maximum output while maintaining quality and blueprint requirements
- 6Perform in-process inspections and benching during machine cycles
- 7Complete inspection data SPC charts and certified operator documentation
- 8Comply with safety standards and maintain good housekeeping
- 9Accurately record transactions in ERP software
- 10Collaborate with Engineering and Quality departments
- 11Maintain high CNC machining experience in regulated industries
Requirements9
- 15+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
- 24-7 years of CNC machining experience in a regulated industry
- 3High School diploma or GED
- 4Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs
- 5Lean manufacturing knowledge preferred
- 6CNC programming proficiency required
- 7Blueprint reading capability essential
- 8Attention to detail critical for precision machining
- 9Shift availability for 2nd shift schedule
