Landscape Technician, Grounds Maintenance
Overview
You will own year-round landscape maintenance across a large retail campus, keeping lawns, shrubs, trees, and flower beds pristine. You will work outdoors in all weather, handling mowing, trimming, pruning, and fertilization. You join a grounds crew that also handles parking lot and building exterior cleanliness. What You'll Do8
- 1Mow, trim, and prune lawns, shrubs, bushes, trees, and flowers across the property year-round.
- 2Perform grounds maintenance on the parking lot, exterior building, and surrounding areas to ensure a clean and safe environment.
- 3Work with a team to cover all landscaping and exterior cleaning duties, rotating tasks as needed.
- 4Apply fertilizers and treatments to keep plantings healthy, using irrigation systems and hand tools.
- 5Inspect grounds for hazards or damage and report issues to the lead technician.
- 6Operate and maintain mowers, trimmers, blowers, and other power equipment daily.
- 7Adhere to safety protocols and corporate policies, including local, federal, and state regulations.
- 8Drive personal accountability and manage time effectively to complete daily route within schedule.
Requirements6
- 1Vocational or Technical Certification or 2+ years in mechanical, facilities, or construction maintenance.
- 2Experience in landscaping, agriculture, general maintenance, or retail is a plus.
- 3Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physical labor including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- 4Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to the worksite.
- 5Strong communication skills and commitment to customer service.
- 6Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work both independently and as part of a team.
Salary Insight
