What You'll Do9

  • 1Mow lawns and athletic fields using push mowers and riding mowers to maintain turf health and appearance.
  • 2Operate blowers to clear debris from walkways, parking lots, and landscaped areas.
  • 3Trim trees and shrubs with pruners and trimmers to shape greenery and ensure safety.
  • 4Use shovels, rakes, and other hand tools for planting, edging, and hardscape upkeep.
  • 5Perform routine maintenance on equipment, checking oil, blades, and fuel levels before each shift.
  • 6Follow safety protocols, including wearing PPE such as gloves, goggles, and ear protection in all weather conditions.
  • 7Lift and move materials weighing up to 45# , including bags of mulch, soil, and debris.
  • 8Assist with snow removal using snow plows and spreaders during winter weather events.
  • 9Report equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to the supervisor promptly.

Requirements7

  • 11+ year of outdoor work experience in grounds maintenance or landscaping.
  • 2Mechanical aptitude for operating power tools and lawn care equipment.
  • 3Proficiency in landscape maintenance tasks: mowing, gardening, tree trimming, and hardscape upkeep.
  • 4Familiarity with ground equipment such as snow plows, trimmers, blowers, and similar tools.
  • 5Strict adherence to safety protocols in varying weather conditions, including heat and cold.
  • 6Physical stamina to lift heavy materials, operate machinery, and perform manual labor for extended periods.
  • 7Ability to grip tools and equipment with a minimum 45# grip strength.
