L3 Network Engineer, Cisco SDA & Wireless
Overview
You will own network operations for a Cisco enterprise environment spanning SDA, Catalyst Center, and Catalyst 9800 wireless. You will join a team supporting high-density healthcare and enterprise wireless across Dallas. Your focus will be on minimizing downtime and driving incident resolution for Cisco-based infrastructure. This role demands immediate contribution with minimal ramp-up.
What You'll Do7
- 1Troubleshoot and resolve incidents on Cisco SDA and Catalyst Center within the first 90 days.
- 2Manage and maintain Cisco Catalyst 9800 wireless controllers and 9130/916x access points.
- 3Configure and troubleshoot Cisco ISE for policy enforcement and user access.
- 4Monitor and optimize high-density wireless networks in healthcare settings.
- 5Perform root cause analysis and implement fixes for recurring network issues.
- 6Collaborate with engineering teams on network changes and upgrades.
- 7Document network configurations and operational procedures.
Requirements8
- 15+ years hands-on experience in large Cisco enterprise environments.
- 2Expertise in Cisco SDA and DNA Center.
- 3Strong knowledge of Cisco ISE for AAA and policy.
- 4Proficiency with Cisco Catalyst 9800 wireless controllers and 9130/916x APs.
- 5Experience with Cisco Nexus data center technologies including VXLAN and EVPN.
- 6Understanding of high-density wireless design and troubleshooting.
- 7Ability to work onsite in Dallas, Texas.
- 8Prior experience in healthcare wireless is a plus.
