L2 Cloud Support Engineer, AWS & Azure
Overview
You own the reliability of enterprise-scale networks and cloud environments in AWS and Azure. You lead complex troubleshooting, drive system performance, and enforce AWS security best practices. Work hands-on with CloudFormation, Terraform, and Kubernetes alongside a global Systems Integrator. Collaborate with engineering and operations to resolve incidents within defined SLAs. Onsite role in Westerville, OH with afternoon shift hours.
What You'll Do9
- 1Resolve escalated incidents for AWS and Azure cloud infrastructures, ensuring minimal downtime
- 2Debug network issues across VPN, VPC, and load balancers to restore service
- 3Automate routine tasks using Python or Bash scripts in CloudFormation or Terraform
- 4Lead root cause analysis for recurring cloud failures and document preventive measures
- 5Monitor system health with CloudWatch and ELK Stack, alerting on anomalies
- 6Coordinate with L1 teams to refine runbooks and improve first-response times
- 7Optimize cloud resource usage to control cost without compromising performance
- 8Support containerized workloads on Kubernetes and ECS, handling scaling and rolling updates
- 9Drive security patches and access reviews for compliance with AWS IAM policies
Requirements9
- 13+ years managing AWS or Azure cloud environments in production
- 22+ years troubleshooting network protocols: TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, and TLS
- 3Hands-on with CloudFormation or Terraform for infrastructure as code
- 4Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration
- 5Proficiency in Python or Bash scripting for automation
- 6Familiarity with monitoring tools like CloudWatch, Prometheus, or ELK
- 7Strong understanding of IAM, security groups, and encryption in cloud
- 8Ability to work onsite in Westerville, OH with 2 PM to 11 PM shift
- 9Bachelor's degree in CS, IT, or related field or equivalent experience
