Key Relationships Officer, Charity: Water & Major Gifts in Nashville
Overview
Key Relationships Officer leads donor cultivation and major gift solicitation for Water Projects and Operations in the Greater Nashville area. You will partner with the KR team, Experience Lab staff, and other departments to meet revenue targets while providing exceptional donor stewardship. This onsite role blends major gift strategy with high-touch relationship management and event participation to move gifts of $25K+ and support $2M+ annual revenue once onboarded.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and manage a portfolio of donors capable of giving $25K+ annually and help achieve a $2M+ annual revenue target
- 2Provide strategic stewardship to local executives and fundraisers to advance high-capacity donor opportunities
- 3Cultivate long-term relationships with individuals and families to increase lifetime value and donor participation
- 4Visit donors regularly in person and virtually across Tennessee and quarterly in surrounding states
- 5Serve as on-site point-of-contact for visitors at The Experience Lab in Franklin TN for donors, sponsors, and guests
- 6Deliver a best-in-class donor experience through timely updates, reports, and surprise-and-delight moments
- 7Communicate organizational priorities effectively and connect donor opportunities to Water Projects and Operations
- 8Identify potential major donor prospects from mid-level donors with the Prospect Development Manager and strategize cultivation
- 9Support planning and execution of major donor events to share charity: water’s story and impact
- 10Lead cross-departmental projects and provide onboarding and mentorship for new KR team members
Requirements8
- 1Bachelor's degree
- 25-7 years of frontline fundraising with a proven track record of closing $10K+ gifts
- 3Outstanding written and verbal communication skills and persuasive storytelling
- 4Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to connect with diverse stakeholders
- 5Drive, sophistication, and a team-oriented mindset with eagerness to improve
- 6Highly developed interpersonal skills and strong EQ
- 7Willingness to travel regularly within the U.S.
- 8Eligibility to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future
