Juror Clerk, Jury Services & Court Operations
Overview
This role owns juror lifecycle management for the Superior Court of the District of Columbia, handling 2,000+ jurors monthly. The Juror Clerk works in the Juror Office of Special Operations, ensuring compliance with the D.C. Code and court rules. You will coordinate with judicial chambers, the U.S. Attorney's Office, and other stakeholders. This position directly impacts the fairness and efficiency of jury trials in the nation's capital.
What You'll Do7
- 1Greet jurors and court stakeholders professionally, secure ADA resources, and resolve payment inquiries.
- 2Enter data and scan/validate juror bio-forms, manage the Jurors on Call system, and process notices.
- 3Monitor compliance reports and alert management of deviations to improve data quality.
- 4Process incoming and outgoing mail by opening, reviewing, and sorting.
- 5Respond to inquiries via phone, email, voicemail, Live Chat, and eJuror.
- 6Coordinate juror summoning, qualification, enrollment, selection, orientation, and payment.
- 7Collaborate with judicial chambers and the U.S. Attorney's Office to support operations.
Requirements7
- 1High school diploma or GED plus 4+ years clerical or administrative experience in a court, legal, or office environment.
- 2Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe.
- 3Strong customer service skills with diverse groups.
- 4Commitment to the DC Courts' Values of Accountability, Excellence, Fairness, Integrity, Respect, and Transparency.
- 5Must pass a background and security investigation.
- 6Complete a one-year probationary period.
- 7U.S. citizenship or legal authorization to work in the U.S.
