
Junior Wireless DSP/PHY Algorithm Engineer
Overview
You will build and adapt MATLAB-based models of DSP and PHY algorithms for wireless communication systems, simulating them in a system-level framework and analyzing time-domain IQ signals. You will validate algorithm performance under realistic conditions, working under the guidance of senior engineers. Your work directly supports the modeling and evaluation of signal processing for next-generation wireless systems. This role focuses on hands-on algorithm development and simulation, blending theory with practical validation.
What You'll Do6
- 1Build MATLAB models of DSP and PHY algorithms based on senior engineer guidance
- 2Adapt existing MATLAB models to new wireless communication scenarios
- 3Simulate algorithms in a system-level framework, integrating MATLAB with other toolboxes
- 4Analyze time-domain IQ signals to assess algorithm performance
- 5Validate algorithm performance under realistic channel conditions and impairments
- 6Document simulation results and present findings to the engineering team
Requirements6
- 11+ years experience with MATLAB for algorithm development
- 2Strong understanding of DSP fundamentals, including filters and modulation
- 3Familiarity with PHY layer concepts in wireless systems (e.g., LTE, 5G)
- 4Experience with signal analysis, including IQ data
- 5Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
- 6Ability to work collaboratively and follow technical direction
