Junior Electrician for Medical Office Projects in NY
Overview
Own and execute commercial electrical installations for medical offices and other facilities across Nassau and Suffolk County. You will read blueprints, install cables, wiring, devices, and lighting while upholding stringent safety standards. Work independently with support from foremen and teammates to deliver clean, compliant electrical work on time. This role offers long-term potential with a growing contractor and onsite project variety.
What You'll Do11
- 1Build commercial rough-in and trim work to specification
- 2Install MC/BX cable boxes devices lighting and branch circuits bulldozer
- 3Pull wire from panels to junction boxes and devices
- 4Run and bend EMT conduit and perform wiring of 2x2 and 2x4 fixtures
- 5Read and follow electrical drawings and blueprints to trace circuits and troubleshoot
- 6Coordinate daily progress with foremen and team members and maintain safety procedures
- 7Assist with electrical demolition and temporary power installations
- 8Perform panel wiring and low-voltage installations
- 9Maintain tools and ensure site safety and sign-in procedures
- 10Travel to multiple job sites across Nassau and Suffolk County
- 11Demonstrate reliability and strong communication on site
Requirements10
- 1Minimum 2 years of commercial electrical experience
- 2Experience with MC/BX cable installations
- 3Knowledge of conduit wiring panels lighting and devices
- 4Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics
- 5Experience with commercial fit-outs renovations and new construction
- 6OSHA 30 Certification required
- 7Must have reliable transportation and basic electrical hand tools drill and impact driver
- 8Ability to work overtime when needed
- 9Experience in medical offices and healthcare facilities (preferred)
- 10Experience operating scissor lifts (preferred)
