Java Full Stack Developer, Angular & Node.js
Overview
You will design and build full-stack applications for a Maryland-based client, owning features from backend Java services to frontend Angular interfaces. You will join a cross-functional team of engineers and product managers, shipping code that supports critical business operations. This contract role demands hands-on coding and collaboration with stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions. You will work onsite in Baltimore, with the opportunity to influence technology choices within an established architecture.
What You'll Do8
- 1Build and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot, integrating with REST APIs and SQL databases.
- 2Develop responsive frontend features using Angular and TypeScript, ensuring cross-browser compatibility and performance.
- 3Collaborate with product managers to define technical requirements and break down work into actionable tasks.
- 4Write unit and integration tests with JUnit and Mockito to ensure code reliability and maintainability.
- 5Debug and resolve production issues, performing root cause analysis and implementing fixes in a timely manner.
- 6Review code from peers, providing constructive feedback to improve code quality and maintainability.
- 7Deploy and monitor applications using Docker and Kubernetes, working with CI/CD pipelines for automated delivery.
- 8Document technical design and system architecture for future reference and onboarding.
Requirements9
- 1Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field is required; Master degree preferred.
- 28+ years of experience designing and developing applications in Java and Python.
- 33+ years of experience with web technologies including Node.js and Angular.
- 4Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript for frontend and backend development.
- 5Hands-on experience with Spring Boot and REST API development.
- 6Experience with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
- 7Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.
- 8Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI.
- 9Ability to work onsite in Baltimore, Maryland.
