Overview
Own end-to-end Java 17+ RESTful API development at scale within a contract team. Lead AI-assisted coding initiatives to accelerate delivery and ensure high quality software. Collaborate with platform and product teams to design robust APIs and maintain cloud deployments. Work with a mix of onshore teams in Chicago and remote stakeholders to deliver impactful solutions.

- 1Build RESTful APIs with Java 17+ and Spring Boot to deliver scalable services
- 2Design and implement API management patterns using Apigee or similar platforms
- 3Ship cloud deployment and maintenance tasks in AWS, Azure, or GCP environments
- 4Own code quality, testing, and performance improvements through automation and CI/CD
- 5Drive collaboration with AI-assisted coding initiatives to improve developer productivity
Requirements6
- 110+ years of professional software engineering experience
- 2Proficient in Java 17+ and Spring Boot for RESTful API development
- 3Experience with API gateways and API management platforms such as Apigee
- 4Cloud deployment and maintenance in public clouds (AWS, Azure, or GCP) with a preference for AWS
- 5Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and performance tuning skills
- 6Onsite role in Chicago, IL; contract W2 with client sponsorship not provided
