Senior Java Developer, Agentic AI & AWS
Overview
You will own the design and delivery of secure, production-grade Java services that power our agentic AI platform, serving millions of requests daily. You will join a team of 8 engineers who value craftsmanship and speed, working alongside product and AI researchers to ship features that directly impact revenue. This role offers the chance to drive AI-assisted engineering practices across the organization, shaping how we build software. You will work with Java, Kubernetes, and AWS to build resilient streaming pipelines.
What You'll Do6
- 1Design and build high-throughput Java services that process real-time events from Kafka and integrate with NoSQL stores.
- 2Lead the adoption of AI-assisted coding tools to accelerate development, including automated code review and refactoring using GitHub Copilot and CodeGuru.
- 3Own features end-to-end from design to production, ensuring reliability with Splunk and Dynatrace monitoring alerts.
- 4Ship code that meets security and performance standards, with peer reviews and automated CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Docker.
- 5Drive the governance of AI-generated code, setting guidelines for quality and safety.
- 6Collaborate with data engineers to scale event-driven architectures using Kubernetes and Kafka Streams.
Requirements8
- 15+ years of hands-on development with Java and Spring Boot.
- 22+ years of experience with Kubernetes and containerized deployments.
- 33+ years of experience building streaming data pipelines with Kafka or similar.
- 42+ years working with AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda preferred).
- 5Proficiency with NoSQL databases like MongoDB or Cassandra.
- 6Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins and configuration as code.
- 7Familiarity with observability stacks including Splunk and Dynatrace.
- 8Proven ability to use AI coding assistants for code optimization and test generation.
